I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Ph.D. in Sociology, bridging clinical practice and research. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating depression, life transitions, racial/ethnic identity and relational challenges, and burnout, with a focus on college students, young adults, Black women, and other people of color. Using a relational approach to therapy, I strive to create a space where you feel safe and empowered to embrace your authentic self. My goal is to help you move through your experiences with clarity and a deeper connection to who you truly are.
I'm a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) — one of a relatively small number of therapists trained directly through Dr. Peter Levine's institute — and a certified partner trauma specialist through APSATS. That combination means I work with two kinds of clients who often struggle to find the right therapist: people whose anxiety, PTSD, or grief isn't responding to traditional talk therapy, and partners navigating the devastating aftermath of betrayal and infidelity. After 15 years, I've learned that the body holds what words can't always reach. My work is rooted in that understanding — and in deep respect for how much courage it takes to begin.
Hi there and welcome. My name is Anita and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and currently providing virtual therapy to individuals residing in Pennsylvania and Florida. I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years, and currently specialize in treating adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, traumatic life experience, disordered eating and substance use recovery. I also have significant experience working with diverse cultural populations and the LGBTQIA+ community.
I'm Cathy S. Harris, MSW, LCSW, a trauma therapist with nearly 30 years of experience helping adults heal from the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Iowa. My work is informed by extensive training in trauma treatment as well as my personal experience with healing trauma. I have particular expertise in complex trauma, religious abuse, high-control groups, dissociation, veterans' issues and helping people move from survival to a more connected and meaningful life. Being a social worker means I pay attention to the big picture, the context of your life.
