I became a therapist because I find people genuinely fascinating, specifically how we each experience ourselves, life, and reality, and how we approach living – our inner process. That curiosity has driven more than 20 years of clinical & spiritual work with adults navigating trauma, sexuality, spirituality, expanded states of consciousness, depression, anxiety, identity, grief, men's issues, and major life transitions. Currently, I run my private practice while also directing and teaching in a graduate Counseling Psychology program.
My approach to therapy is one of mutual respect and collaboration. I help clients face challenges head on and develop strategies to make life more fulfilling. I believe in the power of a strong, therapeutic relationship and believe it is vital to making progress together. I have extensive experience working with LGBT folks, those who've experienced trauma, and those with depression and anxiety.
I am a licensed therapist with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Liberty University. With over 14 years of experience in outpatient therapy and more than 5 years of supervising counseling interns and master’s-level clinicians, I bring both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to supporting fellow professionals in the field.
I have received specialized training in grief treatment using current evidence-based approaches across the lifespan, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My clinical experience spans a wide range of ages—from toddlers as young as 2 to individuals in their 80s—and I genuinely enjoy working with all age groups.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but I believe it’s a powerful and courageous first step toward healing. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered on your journey toward wellness.
Have you been feeling overwhelmed, conflicted, or simply worn down by everything life is asking of you? Maybe you’re dealing with relationship or family conflict, struggling to make sense of a major life change, or carrying emotional pain that you’ve been trying to manage on your own. I’m Susan Katz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience working with children, adults, couples, and families. My own professional life has taken many different paths, including education, ministry, corporate leadership, and social work, which has given me a broad perspective on the many ways life can challenge us. I bring that perspective into therapy with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.
I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. I completed most of my licensing hours in Utah, then moved to Pennsylvania where I completed my LCSW in 06/2019.
Hello! I’m Lucas, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with nearly a decade of experience helping individuals navigate and overcome life’s challenges.
