As a Professional Counselor, it's my goal to help you feel respected and create a safe environment for you to share whatever you need to during therapy. It is my intention to empower you, strengthen your individuality, help to strengthen your belief that you have great worth, and that you can overcome traumatic events and memories. We are more than the thoughts we have that we're ashamed of, we're more than the worst moments of our lives, much more than our mistakes, and in my practice, I respect the courage it takes to be vulnerable, honest, and open to new ways of thinking.
I work with adults on issues such as self-esteem, relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am trained as an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. EMDR is an alternative method to talk-therapy that has been proven to be effective in resolving Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Life can be messy; it's okay to feel lost, stuck in a rut, or starting over. I appreciate the courage it takes to ask for help and invite someone into your fears and perceived flaws. If you would like to schedule an appointment or ask questions about therapy, please contact me. I'm honored to be invited to share in your healing process. Let change begin!
I like to think of myself as the metropolitan psychologist with a southern flair! I've developed a style of working with people that is a beautiful marriage of my extensive training, dynamic personality, and passion for helping folx actualize their best selves. I am a clinical psychologist by training and a Pennsylvania-certified school psychologist. With a specialized interest and training in human sexuality, I am also an AASECT-certified sex therapist, or clinical sexologist.
Who you are matters to me — and I mean that in the most specific way. Your story, your nervous system, your family history, your relationship with yourself. Not a diagnosis. Not a checklist. You.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 24 years of experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and the quiet weight of just not feeling like yourself anymore. I offer telehealth therapy across Pennsylvania and Florida, which means you can access support from wherever you are — no commute, no waiting room.
I began working in criminal justice before pursuing social work — and that dual lens gives me a broad way of understanding people and the systems that shape them. I've worked alongside people in crisis, in grief, in deeply stuck places. I know what it looks like when someone is carrying trauma they've never named, and I know how to sit with you in that without flinching. My style is warm, grounded, and genuinely down to earth.
I encounter clients where they are. As we build a relationship, we explore coping skills. I believe that small progress is still progress.
