Hello! I am truly glad you are here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Supervisor with 13 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families. My work is rooted in relational theory, attachment theory, developmental trauma, trauma‐informed care, and interpersonal neurobiology. I believe healing and growth are always possible. I believe healing happens in connection, not in isolation. In our work together, you can expect a space where your pace is honored, and your lived experience is treated with care.
Margarita Rice is a double-board-certified psychiatric-mental health and family nurse practitioner. Her education and clinical experience give her a well-rounded perspective on physical and mental well-being. She treats mental health, metabolic health (wellness, weight loss, prediabetes), and hormone health (BHRT for men and women.

If you're carrying wounds from a faith community that no longer feels safe, working through tension in your family, or managing anxiety that quietly shapes your days, you're not alone. I work with individuals, couples, and families in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and I bring a trauma-informed lens to everything we do together. Whether your struggles are rooted in religious trauma, identity questions, or family stress that's built up over years, my goal is for you to feel genuinely understood — not just assessed.
I specialize in helping adults overcome addiction, including substance use and gaming addiction. I understand the challenges of rebuilding relationships, setting boundaries, and addressing the underlying causes of addictive behaviors. My approach is supportive, relatable, and focused on practical growth. I also work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.
Healing isn't linear and I understand that deeply, both professionally and personally. As a dual -certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and an attorney, I bring a unique, comprehensive perspective to care. But more than titles, I bring lived experience.
I know grief intimately. The pain I carried afterwards was unexplainable. It didn't fit into a neat diagnosis or timeline. That experience shaped not only how I show up for others but why I do my work.
Whether you are navigating the aftermath of a death, a medical diagnosis, a relationship rupture, or job loss, I offer a safe, grounded and trauma focused space. I help clients process complex emotions, rebuild self-trust, and gently move toward healing, at your own pace.
If you're carrying something heavy, you don't have to carry it alone. I'd be honored to walk with you.
I work best with clients who are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and everyday stress. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal clients are looking for a supportive space to process what they are carrying, better understand themselves, and begin healing at a pace that feels right for them. I believe people heal best when they feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach to counseling is grounded in kindness, empathy, consistency, and genuine human connection.
For the past 20 years, I have worked in educational counseling and mental health support with children and adolescents ages 5–18. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside students and families through some of life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. For the last 14 years, I have also practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), helping clients build emotional resilience, confidence, and practical tools for everyday life.
My experience includes working extensively with anxiety, executive functioning challenges, academic stress, goal setting, grief, and trauma. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when emotions, responsibilities, or past experiences begin to weigh heavily. I also know that healing and growth are possible with support, patience, and the right therapeutic relationship.
