Top therapists in Texas accepting new patients
Welcome!
Have you been on the search for a compassionate, motivated therapist who is highly attuned with the needs of children and teenagers? Do you feel overwhelmed and in need of additional support with your child's behavioral outbursts and/or school related concerns? Are your teen's mood swings, anxiety, and/or depression becoming increasingly concerning? If this sounds familiar, then I am glad you are here! My specialties as a clinician include children, pre-teens, adolescents ages: 3-17 as well as their caregivers.
Service has been a constant in my life. I have served in the United States Marine Corps, worked in law enforcement, taught in the classroom, and now serve as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Each chapter shaped how I understand stress, trauma, responsibility, and personal transformation.
My work is grounded in both lived experience and clinical training. I know what it means to operate under pressure. I understand how trauma embeds itself in the body and how identity can fracture under prolonged stress. I also know that change is possible when insight is paired with disciplined, intentional work.
Clients often describe me as direct, steady, and grounded. I don’t believe in surface-level coping alone. I believe in helping you understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build internal strength that carries beyond the therapy room.
Whether you are navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, or a major life transition, our work together is focused on clarity, resilience, and sustainable change.
Hola, I am a first-generation Latina and bilingual therapist. I believe therapy should be accessible and culturally grounded because so much of our lives intersect with our culture. In recent years, my focus has shifted to supporting women ages 20-55 who are struggling with anxiety, stress and the emotional challenges that can follow a long term break up or divorce. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel understood, supported and empowered to heal.
Hi, my name is Ayan, and I am passionate about helping clients live lives that feel meaningful and purposeful to them. Life can be challenging, and reaching out for support can sometimes feel difficult. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges.
Healing can begin even in the middle of pain, uncertainty, or major life change. Antoinette grew up in the Caribbean on the island of Grenada before moving to Texas for college, and she brings a deeply compassionate, culturally grounded perspective to her work. She believes every person is worthy of growth, healing, and hope, and that each individual has the capacity to move toward a more meaningful life.
Antoinette holds a doctoral degree in Mental Health and Human Services from Houston Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. She has worked in the field of education for over 20 years, with the last 12 years focused on mental health counseling for school-aged children, teens, and adults. She also works in an IOP setting, supporting individuals transitioning from inpatient care to outpatient treatment. Antoinette works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, self-harm, emotional distress, mood changes, life transitions, and difficulty coping with overwhelming experiences.
